about

33 minutes. 14 tracks: the result of two years, two continents and a lot of hard graft. Mixed by guitarist Martin Phillips between Scotland and Auckland in late 2019/early 2020 and mastered by Rohan Evans (Wine Cellar, Arcade Recordings) during NZ's first level 4 lockdown.

Offering a fairly accurate summing up of life in 2020: anxiety, isolation, disillusionment, searching for meaning and hope. It’s also very much an album deeply rooted in friendship. The sound of a band "having fun channeling all the boredom, anxiety, pointless stress and daily pinpricks of life into a crashing loud album of top class noise" (Harry Platt - Music.net.nz).

about

Repairs Auckland, New Zealand

Powerful, personal and political, REPAIRS are experts at playing with tension and release. Sprechgesang breaks into screaming, rhythms curtly jolt while guitars soar overhead.

Martin Phillips (he/him), James Milne (he/him) and Nicola Edwards (she/her) have been making noise together since 2017 in various places across Aotearoa but especially in their home base of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
